The damage and prevention and control steel rope of the crane wire rope is a flexible force transmission component in the machine. As far as the wire ropes used on the crane are concerned, there are many specifications and complex use, and its strength, flexibility and wear resistance are higher. With the long use of wire rope, the phenomenon of damage or breakage is often produced in recent years. Accidents caused by special and heavy cranes are frequent. Below, according to the practical experience in recent years, the author describes several kinds of damage and prevention methods of steel wire ropes for cranes. Now we are talking about deformation.

A lot of rope breaking accidents are caused by wire rope being damaged in advance but not sufficiently reproduced. The main reasons for the deformation are the following.
1) injury caused by abnormal contact between wire ropes and other devices in trauma operation. The most obvious trauma is that the wire rope slips in the pulley and jumps out the baffle on the reel. The result is that the wire ropes of several hundred meters or even hundreds of meters are scrapped because of the local rolling. The key to prevent the trauma is to improve the crane equipment, the pulley should set up a
re liable anti-slip ring, the electronic truck scale factory, the gap between the ring and the outer ring of the pulley is not more than the 1/5 of the diameter of the wire rope, and the wire rope on the drum can not relax too much, in order to prevent the ring out of the ring from being rolled.
2) the rout wire rope is rolled up after the roll is rolled up, it is easy to produce crushing phenomenon, the sound of squeaking and squeaking in the operation, and the trace of broken wire and flattening quickly in the part. The prevention measure is that the deflection angle of the pulley and the drum should be selected according to the design specifications. If necessary, a rope arranging device or a rope pressing device should be arranged in the lifting mechanism.
3) the permanent deformation of a twisted wire rope after a local distortion is called a kink, which is called a positive kink in the direction of the twisted direction and the rotation of the wire rope, and conversely, is called a negative kink. Ordinary wire rope with rotation, if the end of the rope is not bound to apply tension, then the rope will turn to the direction of the reverse twisting, which is the internal factor of the kink. The following measures can be taken to prevent kinks:
The first is to choose non-rotating wire rope on the important lifting equipment.
The second is to set the rotor at the free end of the wire rope.
Three is to find signs of kink, stop operation immediately, and release reduction.
